Admissons
Deferred EnrollmentDeferred enrollment is designed for students who desire to attend the University of Connecticut but, for various reasons, wish to postpone their enrollment. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers a one year deferred enrollment to students who have applied to the University, been accepted as freshmen and have paid the $150 acceptance fee. An approved deferral guarantees your admission for either of the subsequent two academic semesters. Under no circumstances, during the deferred period, will the deferred student be allowed to enroll at another institution as a full-time or part-time student and earn 12 or more credits. If the student does enroll in 12 or more credits at another institution, the deferred admission will be void. Please be aware:
Requests for deferral must be in writing and should be received by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions no later than August 1 for the fall semester or December 1 for the spring semester. International students and transfer students are not eligible for deferred enrollment. |
