Demonstration of an unusual degree of service to the Waterbury Campus, the University of Connecticut or to his/her local community while maintaining a strong academic record. Applicants must be matriculated Waterbury Campus students, who have completed at least 12 credits at this campus, and who will be continuing at the University of Connecticut as full time students the following academic year. Eligibility: Awarded to a Freshman at the Waterbury UConn campus for his/her sophomore year. The awards will be based on academic achievement and financial need. Eligibility: Awarded to an undergraduate student(s) registered at least half-time at the University of Connecticut at Waterbury in the fall semester. The award will be based on FINANCIAL NEED, ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, and COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT. From those candidates that meet these criteria, preference will be given to first generation college students and students planning to enroll full-time at the Waterbury Campus. Value: Up to one award of $1,000.00.
