The 100 Years of Women ScholarshipEligibility: The 100 Years of Women Scholarship Award was established in 1992 to honor a current UCONN undergraduate or graduate student (who will be enrolled for the Fall 2009 semester) or high school senior planning to enroll in the University of Connecticut, who has demonstrated a commitment to women's issues through service to their community or school.
Hira Jain ScholarshipEligibility: The Hira Jain Scholarship recognizes academically outstanding incoming or continuing undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full time at UConn. Candidates for the scholarship may but are not required to demonstrate financial need. Connecticut Community Foundation (formerly the Waterbury Foundation)Eligibility: The Connecticut Community Foundation administers numerous scholarship funds, primarily for undergraduate studies at an accredited college or univerity. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis with consideration given to academic record, extracurricular activities, work experience, financial need and an essay. With the exception of the Niedzial, Segur and Sendzimir Funds, the applicant must be a resident of the Foundations 21 town service area: Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott or Woodbury, Connecticut.
