  UConn/Waterbury's Cable Access Television Program - From the Campus

The University of Connecticut at Waterbury produces a weekly cable access television program on the Skye13, Tele-Media and Cox cable stations.

The program, entitled From The Campus, is designed to allow faculty, staff and students to present issues and topics which are of general interest to the Connecticut community. Hosted by Stuart Brown.

Tele-Media - Channels 10
Mondays 4:30 p.m.
Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Huntington, Naugatuck, Oxford, Seymour, & Shelton

November 29th: History Professor Emeritus, Bruce Stave, talks about his soon-to-be published book on the history of the University of Connecticut.
December 6th: Professor of Urban Studies, Ruth Glasser, talks about the immigrant and migrant worker experience in urban areas.

 

Cox - Channel 15
Thursdays 7:00 p.m.
Cheshire, Meriden, & Southington

December 2nd: Tom Szigethy, Director of the Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Educational Services, discusses the issue of substance abuse on campus.
December 9th: Professor Robert Thorson talks about his book, "Stone by Stone," which looks at the history of stone walls in the region.

 

Skye Cable - Channel 13
newTuesday 9:30 p.m.
Middlebury, Plymouth, Prospect, Terryville, Waterbury, Wolcott

November 23rd: Kevin Fahey, Senior Associate Director of Student Activities,
discusses the newly renovated student union at
Storrs.
November 30th: A discussion on the Academic Center for Exploratory Students (ACES) at the University of Connecticut.
