ACES -- Center for Exploratory Students

Many of you may notice that you have been identified as an ACES student. The Academic Center for Exploratory Students (ACES) is the University of Connecticut's enrollment program for the following populations:

  • students who want to explore the University's academic opportunities before deciding on a field of study
  • students who plan to transition from one college major to another
  • students who plan to apply to one of the University's Junior-Senior schools (ex: Education and Pharmacy)

The aim of the Academic Center for Exploratory Students is to pair every ACES student with an appropriate major and assign him/her to a school/college as early as possible in the academic career. Each student will work with an ACES advisor until he/she declares a major and moves to one of the University's schools and colleges.

If you have any questions about the ACES program at the Waterbury campus, please contact ACES advisor, Kelly Nemeth at 203-236-9871 or at Kelly.Nemeth@uconn.edu.
