New Student Orientation Program
The transition
from high school to a university environment is a challenging, exciting,
and sometimes difficult stage of life. In order to better understand the
University of Connecticut at Waterbury, its services and the student's
role in the learning process we have developed a New Student Orientation Program for incoming undergraduates.
Orientation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 10:30
a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.
The Program is designed
to:
- familiarize you with the University of Connecticut Waterbury Campus
- address the questions, concerns and anxieties that
you may have regarding
entry to the University
- provide you with the opportunity to meet with your
fellow entering classmates
- have your UConn ID photo taken
- Do all of the above at a less hectic time on
campus
Participation in the program will help assist with
your transition to UConn-Waterbury.
I strongly encourage you to participate in the New Student Orientation
Program. Please complete the following form, whether you are planning
to attend or not. If you have any questions, I
can be contacted at Jim.Long@uconn.edu or at 203-236-9846.
